Puzzled Pictures was founded in 2005 by filmmaker Seth M. Shulman, with the idea of a combining old Hollywood philosophy with modern cinema. Two pieces of the puzzle connected. Their first production was the short film “Gifted Minds”, directed by Christopher Duguay and many more became realized after that. In 2007, Los Angeles historian Marc Chevalier approached Puzzled Pictures about producing a documentary cultivated the 80th anniversary of the first Art Deco building in Los Angeles, The Oviatt Building. What began as a fifteen minute film flourished into a feature length documentary. The film premiered at the historic Grauman’s Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, CA, and again for Los Angeles Conservancy docents.

In 2014, with producer Joey Travolta & Will Sanford, Seth directed the feature length documentary, “Lights, Camera, Indpendence”. The film follows six individuals who get the job experience of a lifetime when they are hired as crew and travel across the country to work at Joey Travolta’s summer film camps.
